The Old Rectory in Sandy
![]() | The original Rectory was built between 1729 and 1740, and was once one of the finest George II rectories in the county. Sadly, the house was demolished about 1960, in order to make way for a more modern one, built in 1962, presumably easier to maintain. Revd. John Richardson was Sandy's longest incumbent, serving from 1858 to 1913.
