Sandy Historical Research Group

 

Meets on the 2nd Tuesday every  month. Usual venue is Sandy Village Hall (in the back bar), commencing at 7.30pm.

Saturday 26th April 2008 - Exhibition, Sandy Methodist Church, St Neots Road 12-3

 

Saturday 21st June 2008 - Exhibition at Sandy Festival Day, held in the grounds of Sandye Place Middle School, from 1.30pm

 

Saturday 26th July 2008 - Exhibition, Beeston Methodist Church, 10.30 - 4.00

 

Saturday/Sunday 16th 17th August 2008 - Exhibition, at Sandy Show, held in the school hall of Sandye Place Middle School. Saturday from 1.30, Sunday from 10.30

Bill Davies returns with more of his tales on the inner workings of a driver.

1950’S ROAD HEAVY HAULAGE

Alan Pepper brings to the society the world of Wynns, Pickfords, Circus and fairground heavy haulage.

Wed 29th October

ACROSS CANADA PART 2

With a camera being part of Neil Wheelwrights luggage, we are able to follow in his footsteps as we return to our journey across Canada.

My Railway travels

Dave Soggee brings us more travels with his camera and some Ektachrome.

No December meeting

Non members are most welcome. The entrance fee is £2.00, which includes refreshments.
